Its most probably a fake in that case.
It sounds like what you have downloaded is a fake and they are trying to con you into buying something that wont work anyhow… DON’T DO IT !…It could be full of spyware, trojans and virus to say the least !
NEVER download any unknown players OR codecs and get rid of that torrent !!
If your known good player won’t play it, you can always try VLC player…and if that don’t work …forget it

im having that same problem. when i open movie it said download recomended player. and i went on the link and -video player- was the software but i can’t find ane program to pla this movie

I have had a similar thing with tv shows downloaded from a torrent and it gave the codec to install which is of course a Trojan/Spyware.
DON’T do it.or you will back at the Helpdesk for all the wrong reasons.
i download alien vs predator2 from iso hunt but when i played it i got a little clip played that its coffed movie & i can see it only with video player that is free for members only.

some of avi format that we can download in net is not divx format..so u have to have an alternative player in ur PChi same problem with me……… anboby successful so far???????????????
