i’ve trouble installing it on win 7 even with the update. the software won’t sync,
do you know what i can do about that?

I am assuming you are using some sort of Olympus voice recorder
Go to the Olympus site, and see if there is any updates, and see if you have the right drivers for your OS

did that, but even the updated version won’t allow to sync

I have no idea sorry, I have a VN-2100PC and can use it with my laptop running Win 7. It could be a driver conflict of some sort. Have you tried uninstalling all the software and drivers, reboot and do a fresh install ?
