Crysis v1.2 patch help?

when i try installing the update it asks me for a crysis installation file (.msi i think not sure) which is located on the dvd. so i mount the image and target it to the crsis file it needs. and it keeps telling me to insert dvd when the image is mounted did any of u have probs and manage to update it? my friend on vista 64 managed to install the update without it asking him to inset dvd (his is cracked too) but he aint sure if his was mounted already or not.

Maybe you copied the nodvd crack..that can effect updates…

hmm ile try to copy over the original exe over the cracked exe

well try a reinstallation. Maybe some reg entries were made that are invalid. Just use your uninstaller to remove it. BTW use the edit button instead of posting a reply

Trying re-installing and then after the install update the game. Then apply the cracks.

It is against the rules to make a reply to an old topic unless under special circumstances such as, but not limited to, the topic's discussion has died but there is new striking evidence to turn thoughts around or saying thank you for the author. A reply with information that is relevant and useful is allowed..

This was just now posted in my game topic. Seems perfect timing
To fix the patching problem right-click crysis.v1.2-nodvd > properties > compatibility > run as Windows Vista SP2
Once you have done this the patch will still claim that it failed. Don't be alarmed!
Right-click on crysis.exe (in your program files) > properties > run this program as Windows Vista SP2
Then run as admin and it should work!
