Coloured subtitle problem…

Hi,
Manually i made subtitles and turned the color in green and saved it as a “srt” file and this is all made with Subtitle Workshop.
The problem is when i save it as a srt file the color tags automatically gets deleted so i still get the white subs in the final result which i don’t want because the video is already much white so it’s not that comfartable to read white subs on a white video.
Can someone say in which format else i can save it that the color tags don’t dissapear?
I merge it with Mkvmerge..

Hey,how is it possible that when i add subtitles and merge it to mkv file that when i convert that to mp4 that the subtitles get lost????
