Change Photosop cs5 to the Extended version

September 24th, 2013

Hey, I need some help changing my installation of adobe photoshop CS5, to the extended version.
I have the files for the extended version, but after installing photostop, im stuck with the non extended version. The reason for this is that the old serial keys are being used.
I think iv come across this problem before, but i can’t find what I need to clean the old keys. And I think that’s all I need; an app created by adobe that cleans the old photoshop files.
Help please.
Iv found this, but it hasn’t helped.

Answer #1
Just install a fresh copy of Photoshop Extended.
Answer #2
That is exactly what I did in the first place. I guess ill have to triple check the source where I got the files, to see what others have said.
Answer #3
even after running the cleaner tool it hasnt worked?
i would say uninstall, run ccleaner, run a registry scan (using ccleaner imo) then run the cleaner tool.
then try install extended version.
Answer #4
The cleaner tool should fix it, especially if you reboot before doing the fresh install.
Answer #5
Mother F***er… I got it to work. But I did everything you guys suggested the first time round. Except what I may have skipped was reseting the computer between using the clean tool and installing a fresh copy.
I wonder if the reset is what did it? (made it work this time?)
Also i downloaded photoshop again, this time from this website and from a user who I think is reasonably trustworthy. (just in case it was the case of wrong patch files actually ment for the non extended version)
Thanks for checking in everyone.
