capture from tvtuner into divx program

i have a gigabyte tvtuner and i would LOVE to be able to record video from it directly to divx format. Tha tvtuner software only supports recording in mpg format. So i was wondering maybe there is a software that i can use to record directly in divx format?
i know its a long shot but i thought i give it a try, if there is such thing, here is the only place to find it

KMPlayer will do this to Xvid format, only works if your TV tuner is supported.
