Can’t patch this software? :(

Hi, Im trying to patch n/ero 12 software but I’m confused on how to do it.
I’ve put the patch into the directy c:/program files:/Nero 12 and then opened it and clicked patch but it says can’t find pattern nothing patches!
Am I doing something wrong?

try right click on the patch file and open as administrator,
if the patch has an option to search for the nero exe , then click on it,
if not then make sure you exit nero, before patching,also on the bottom right taskbar icon , exit
