Can’t Get XP Recovery To Load

August 6th, 2016

I downloaded a .iso windows xp sp3 file from here a few hours ago and burned the image to a cd. inserted cd into my comp and press the livin hell out of f10 like they say to but recovery wont launch or start…windows just starts up normally which results in a black screen and white arrow…i just can get recovery to start!
would i be able to put the hard drive i’m trying to reinstall windows on, into my other computer (a gateway) and install windows on it from there and then just put the hd back into the computer it’s intended to be in afterward? because on my gateway i can get system recovery to load up fine..
oh and why wont recovery load up on the first computer? (the hp)

Hmmm…If you downloaded XP it has nothing to do with the recovery…If you have a recovery partition…Read the user guide..it will tell you how to get to recovery…
If you trying just to install XP…make sure you set your PC to boot from the CD first…press any key when you asked and take it from there…

All you need to do is make the cd boot first in BIOS then it will work fine, Press F8 to go into BIOS btw lol
