Can’t find a working chipset driver for HP Pavilion G6

May 2nd, 2022

Hey guys, I’ve been searching for chipset drivers for my HP Pavilion G6-2220so, but no luck. I went to the HP’s official website but they only provide with Windows 8 64bit drivers, but I heard I could use them for my Windows 7 64bit too (which is the case for my other drivers, that are working fine)
I also tried some driver updaters/finders, but no luck :/
Everything is working fine except the usb ports :/ They don’t recognice anything, yet they give power to my devices (my mouse’s laser has light for example, but it doesn’t get recognized)
The only missing driver in my device manager is “Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller“.
Any help would be really appreciated as this is kinda annoying :/
Thank You!

tried this one http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53838.exe

The chipset is Intel HM76 Express, so just search Google for a working download.
You could also try the Intel chipset instal utility which I think is now called ‘Intel Chipset Device Software’
I don’t think either of these need be specific to HP.

I get this: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will exit. The chipset is Intel HM76 Express, so just search Google for a working download.
