Burning xvid movies into dvd-r

hello everyone im having this problem maybe some one can help me, okay the problem is every time i try to burn some xvid movies into a dvd-r they wont play on my dvd player. i use nero to burn them as data. and yes my dvd player does support xvid when i burn the in a dvd+r o a cd-r they wok perfectly so if any one can help please?

i have always used nero to burn xvid to dvd never had probs . use nero express.

use convertx by VSO put your dvd in the drive open the program add the movie and click convert it will automatically burn it and when it is done, the dvd will pop right out

Some DVD players are fussy about the media, so just stick with something that works

convertxtodvd is the way to go. I use to use nero for the longest time then I found out about xtodvd and instantly changed my dvd burning program.

this is true. i can download and play divx on my dvd player but when i gave them to my friend whos dvd can also play divx they might not work.
i think it also depends on what program they use to make to the divx file from the movie
