Burning Videos on Blue Ray Discs

July 28th, 2013

Im thinking about getting a Blue ray burner for my computer for storage and backup. I also burn a lot of DVDs with ConvertXtodvd to play on my players. These are standard DVDs however so space is limited to less than 2.5 hrs with good quality playback.
In order to consolidate the HD videos i have is it possible to burn to Blue ray discs for playing in Blue ray Players?
Can you use standard HD video and just have a lot more space on the DVD to burn (5x times the space). In terms of 45 min long videos I can burn 3 on a normal DVD for good playback. On A blue ray would I be able to burn 15 per Blue ray disc.
What program that is easy to use would accomplish that if possible?
Any tips also appreciated
Thanks ahead of time

To be honest, it would work out very expensive doing it that way, with the price of blank BR’s. The extra money you would be spending, it would be wiser investing in a media player that will play the files without having to burn them to discs.
