Booktype setting for Burning a XBOX360 ISO
August 2nd, 2016
this is my DVD DL Burner how can i set the booktype please some guide me to all the steps i am a total noob in this
You don’t need to set any booktype. The only things you need are:
image burn
and the layer break number (1913760)
Just make sure to set the layer break number in image burn (I can tell you how if you need to know), and burn with image burn.
P.S have you checked your iso with abgx ?
you can also set the book type in image burn. after choosing the image to burn(should choose the .dvd file not the iso), on the bottom right hand corner you’ll see 3 icons click on the icon that looks like a book or folder. this will bring up the book type screen, select the tab that matches your dvd drive. then choose the current disc type (top box, should set that to dvd dl) next underneath that there are options to choose the book type to set it to. choose DVD-ROM, then click the change button. if it all went well you should see change succesfull pop up (or something similar. then just go back to the burn page and burn away. Please note that other settings must be moddified aswell like the layer break mentioned above. The only reason to set the book type to dvdrom is to help pass the MS online check. but not sure if this still works as some people have been banned lately even after doing this and using stealth patches and abgx. the new firmware from commadore4ever (ixtreme 1.7, not yet released) is supposed to get round and pass all checks if disc is wrote correctly. Hope this helps.l If the file you downloaded doesnt come with a .dvd file you’ll need to create one with abgx. as this is what ImageBurn uses to write the disc correctly. Its a good idea to check the .dvd file with abgx anyway to see if it passes the stealth check. As I say I haven’t risked going online yet as people have been banned even after doing some of the above, apparantly!.
leave the book type you dont need to change it, nothing will happen if you dont change it
If your using iXtreme 1.5 or greater, no booktype is required.
