Avi/Mkv to DVD

What’s the best software to transfer avi to dvd and is there one that will do mkv also.

btw … for MKV u might like to sometimes use MKVToolNix before u convert … using the mkvmerge GUI u can get rid of messages ,ads ,subs ,which are not hardcoded in … see our very own Apps section hope this helps ….

TMPGEnc Authoring Works. v4.0.12.42 is the only cracked release available. Been using it for years, makes excellent DVDs or Blu-rays out of digital videos. Wish they cracked the latest v5.

You are correct. AVI yes but not MKV. I use it’s sister program TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works to convert the MKV to DVD-Video standard MPEG file then use Authoring Works to compile that to a DVD. Excellent results.
Latest v5 of Authoring Works can accept MKV directly. Damn, wish there was a cracked version of it.
