Any software to make landline calls from PC

February 7th, 2020

I have a land-line telephone connection. I want it to connect to PC and use my MIC and Headphone and make calls. Please suggest some solution and apps and hardware required
1. I don’t want to use VOIP or skype or any involvement of internet. 2. Windows7 have option of phone and Modem. Can it be utilized in this situation if I can get Dialup modem.
Regards

not sure, but the only thing i can think of , is to connect your phone line to your pc , laptops, at least older models, still have a modem phone plug, not the RJ-45 connecitons for your ETH , , usually RJ-11 … then use the windows dialler , seen it on XP , not checked vista / 7 yet … and it should work
EDIT : google brought up that one :

Here’s the ElCheapo model for those who don’t have a modem Image
But on a more serious note, You will ,of course, need a data/fax modem card if you don’t have one already, and then you could check out some software like this…

Another one..

Supposedly a crack for it..

I have got PCI Modem i.e. data Fax modem on whose packing its is written (FAX MODEM INTERNET Voice data fax). I got it installed with drivers. It also asked for audio driver which was also installed. I will try your softs and the one I downloaded myself and see if it really works. I’ll keep looking. Any more help on how to make audio call via modem is welcome.
Will keep this thread updated with my findings and trials

if your modem has the the microphone and headphone jacks in it, just plug your mic and speaker directly to it, then use the windows dialer to dial, thats it A fax modem like the one in the picture:

I am only an amateur, so the following ay be totally wrong:
(Otherwise, it will depend on whether its full duplex, or half duplex (which can’t be used as a telephone))

it is Full duplex, when I tried installing drivers (It installed full duplex ones). Will the modem (full duplex) work for voice transfer as well? It also asked for audio drivers which were successfully installed
I will try anyway. But I also need right software. i download the one suggest by and will try it.
