Android and cracked apps

August 1st, 2016

If I install a small program, like an emulator or a media player, usually there’s no problem.
However, I can’t get games to work at all. I followed a guide. Put the apk file into the sdcard/android/data folder and obb (along with the original folder) into sdcard/android/obb folder. It installs normally, but when I run it, I either get the “Unfortunately, X has stopped” or sometimes the game launches, but I get something like “Checking licence…” and then “Failed to activate. Restart the application and check your connection”.
Am I doing something wrong? I have a tablet with 4.1.1 Android.
I’m specifically trying to run Dragon Quest IV right now.

Answer #1
“checking licence / failed to activate” == “this has not be cracked properly”
Answer #2
checking license is fine to do even with cracked apps, but if you get the “failed to activate” then the cracker didn’t do things right and it won’t work.
Answer #3
Ok, thanks, that explains much.

Download and use a programme called Lucky Patcher, it will usually rewrite the apk file and take out the license check, it works on non rooted but not as well as rooted

It won’t work on the majority of recent apps. Without root it isn’t much useful.
