Adding subtitles to a film (PIC INCLUDED)
September 21st, 2013
Just have the subtitle file in the same folder as the movie and with the same name (just like you have in your screenshot).
Turn subtitles on in your player and they should display OK..
If it doesn’t work (due to the .srt having another name) you can just drag/drop the .srt into the video player.
Just rename subtitle to have exact same title as movie…
Cheers!
Guys thanks for the help but will putting the subtitles in the same folder make the movie have subs even when I’m putting it on a dvd disk?

Depends on the program you are using to burn. If you are using convertXtoDVD then Add your video file to the project. The click the expand arrow where it says ‘titleset’ and there will be a subtitles stream option. Right click that then add subtitle and choose the location subtitles you want for the movie
If your DVD player plays .avi movies directly from a disk without converting, then as long as you put the sub title file on the disk (with the same name) , it should work.

Thank you, this is the answer I was looking for. Hey I also have one more, questions if you see in my above picture (IN FIRST POST) aren’t the files the exact same name exept for .sri. It didn’t attach the subtitles.
