Access violation at address 00409A4A. Write of address 00401

i downloaded the assassins creed brotherhood from i am awesome extracted ok but when i run the installer it says this : Access violation at address 00409A4A. Write of address 00401000.
im on xp.
help?

1). Run this:

2). Get CCleaner and do a registry cleanup.
^^Should solve your problem.

Start with directx. Go to Start/Run- dxdiag ,, make sure the right version is installed of DirectX.
