4G from EE

August 7th, 2016

Hi i live in the uk and have just took out a contract with EE for 24month contract which i am a week into it.
in find that whereever i am my iphone 5 spends more time on EE 3G instead of EE LTE (4G) so therefore is no better then 3G. So just wondered if anyone knows if i can terminate my contract because of this.
Thanks

There should be a cooling off period, not sure if it’s 7 or 14 days – ring them up.. If you told them exactly where you lived however and they said you should get 4G then that is a different matter. (It’s only in a few Cities at the moment). I got a Mifi with them as I only had an S3 LTE capable of 4G, so can use my other phone on it also.
Perhaps reception will improve later in the year ?

Not sure if that cooling off period is valid though as i bought it in store. I think the cooling off period applies to online purchase where they send the phone out to you

Your correct it’s 7 days if buying a product online or by phone heres a link with more info:

However they should have done a coverage check in-store to make sure you actually live in a 4G area. Here is the coverage checker online, enter your postcode and see what coverage it says you should get… https://explore.ee.co.uk/coverage-checker
Are you only not getting 4G when in your home or no 4G even when your out and about?
