can someone tell me of a good app to join files having extension .001, .002, ….

I prefer 7zip for joining due to its integration into the right-click menu. Makes it quick and easy.
Right-click on .001 -> 7zip -> extract here.

has a file extention in it lik “movie.avi.001” then it’s hj split, if it isn’t use winrar

It depends what the files are made with…HJSplit an WinRAR both use the .001 extension…And you need to know…If made with WinRAR they need to be extracted…If made with HJSplit they need to be joined…
The clue is int the number of files…If it’s only a few..Then HJSplit..If it’s a lot of parts then WinRAR…
