PES 2012 on ASUS with optimus technology

November 22nd, 2013

well, this is the thing
I recently bought a new laptop, the ASUS n55sf. as I later found out, this laptop runs on 2 VGA-s, and switches between these two VGA-s using the Optimus Technology. that means that the integratet VGA runs always, and the other one, geforce 555m gt runs only if i play games or do something that needs a strong graphic output.
so, the problem is, PES doesnt recognise the geforce, only the integrated VGA. i tried fixing this with some new drivers from the nvidia site, tried using the nvidia settings, but nothing seems to help.
oh yeah, when i tried to configure 3D settings for PES files (the exe file and settings file), it recognises the settings file as Rise of Fight. and I cant switch the default value for settings to be the geforce.
some specs
ASUS n55sf
i7 2630QM CPU – running on 2.7ghz
6 gb RAM DDR3
Geforce 555m gt, 2 gb RAM
Windows pro 7 64bit
any solutions? thx

There seems to be a topic on the issue on the nvidia forums, it seems like it could be a driver issue.

Hope this helps.

hm, as I can see, i’m not the only one with this problem.. I already tried with nvidia support, but all I got is that they provide only basic drivers for OEM-s and that they do all the rest. Well, for the first time, I think nVidia is really doing a crappy job.
anyway, thx for your reply
if anyone has any other ideas, i would really appreciate it
