How do press people afford all these conventions?

October 16th, 2013

How do these press guys pay for all these plane tickets, hotel fees, and food? As you get more popular with your site do you get your plane ticket paid for, or do you use the money you used from your website. Because I’m not making a lot from this website and I don’t understand how press can pay to go all over the world to cover events and not be in debt.

The real press make their money from advertising, or in the case of the BBC, by ripping off TV licence fee payers each year in the UK.

$18 for one months work??? It’s not very flattering…. I wouldn’t get out of bed to do ONE day of my “real” job.
Just saying lol.
Regarding your actual question: “How do these press guys pay for all these plane tickets, hotel fees, and food?”
Advertising I guess. They fly all over the world, get all the best photography pictures and stories and sell them to other press companies for THOUSANDS!!
Again, like most of your questions here, you can find your answers on GOOGLE !!!
Or you can use your “press skills” and contact them directly… It will be good practice for you.

I gotta say man, 3 weeks of running a website, and you expect it to pay your salary to live on?

3 weeks, and desiring to live off this? Sadly, it won’t be that simple…
You need to offer something to the public which they desire. Simple logics tbh.
Or pay a advertising company to put your ‘banner’ in their spam advertisements to warrant more visitors to your site.
Every x member who clicks, you got 0.06 or something. Depends on your agreement.

Your site is not unique enough IMO, there are a million and one blogs that are very similar.
