New laptop windows 7 says 2GB ram 1.6GB ram usable

i bought a new lenovo g575 laptop installed windows 7 on it and it says in the properties 2gb ram and 1.6gb usable how can i fix this so that all of the 2gb ram will be usable?

Most likely it’s ur video card using up that .4gb.

The lenovo g575 has a onboard GPU (AMD Radeon HD 6310), it doesnt have its own memory so it will share the systems ram ..
If you want more ram and your OS is 32bit, you would be able to add another 2gig ram, the ram is 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM (DDR3 1066 check before buying) and the laptop supports up to 8gig ram (over 4gig ram you need a 64bit OS)
