Flashget, Rapidshare and internet connection timing out

well, the thing is, that whenever i make flashget download from lets say rapidshare, it starts out fine, good speeds and all, but then at some point it stops the download and the speed goes to “??”… pausing and resuming doesnt help, and if i try to browse websites or something, almost all of them says that the connection timed out while trying to reach the server. i remain online on msn and skype, but cant browse the net… and its not because my 25gb limit on the rs acc has been reached, i check this everytime the problem accurs… this is a problem i get very often and its so annoying cus it slows down my downloading so much and almost renders me unable to use the internet at all…
when i try to browse ~ Dead file host ~ it sometimes says the connection has been reset..
what can i do to solve this? is it a ISP problem? router problem? something wrong with my comp? any help at all is much appreciated…

I experienced the same problem a couple of months ago. Never knew what the problem was I could download using Firefox though, the problem seemed to be with Flashget only.

i tried that too, but i cant even view the page in firefox, tells me that the connection has been reset…. :/

i’ve read something about that and tried a different download accelerator (rapget)
with rapget no problems but i dont like as much as flashget
at least rapget downloads something
