Sound program for my pc

HI all, I’m hoping someone here would know how I can fix my computer. I just installed vista and now my surround sound doesnt work. I used to use Creative Sound, but this no longer works in Vista. Does anyone have any recommendations or can anyone help me?????

Go to Creatives website and download your sound card driver for Vista…

If that doesn’t work do the following,:
open up device manager (right click on my computer and click manage then select device manager)
expand the “sound, video and game controllers” branch.
If it says its missing the driver (yellow exclamation mark ( ! ))
then either install the drivers that you have downloaded from creative manually (by choosing have disk)
or the only other thing i could suggest but im not sure whether it would work is to install the generic “realtek ac’97” driver.

You must have drivers for sound,probably it’s on your motherboard cd….

Thanks all, I tried it but Creative does not have drivers for vista for my soundcard. Do you all know if there is another aftermarket program that can help give me good sound when playing music from my pc?
(by the way, sorry for posting in wrong area and thanks for moving it to right area)
