Need help with PC and PS3 setup

August 5th, 2016

Okay, so i want to set my PS3 to my PC Monitor which is also being used as my PC monitor.. but not only that, i want to be able to configure my desktop speakers to be used as my PS3 speakers as well.
My monitor only has 1 HDMI input so i will need a HDMI-to-DVI connector to connect my PS3 up to it which is no drama.. but i am having trouble finding a way to hook up PS3’s sound up to the speakers which are also connected to my PC Tower.
Here is in detail of what i mean:

So basically i want to find a way to hook my PS3 up to have the sound come from the PC speakers which are already in use. As far as i know the speakers only have one output which is the standard analog output which goes into the speaker card on the pc.. so i was wondering if their was a way to connect the PS3 to the pc so that i could some how use the speakers for the ps3 and pc simultaneously.
If you could help me out it would be very much appreciated

http://www.amazon.com/RCA-Female-3-5mm-Stereo-Adapter/dp/B000I98ZM8
This will allow you to plug your PS3 audio out, into your speakers 3.5mm plug.
But then you will have to unplug your speakes from your PC to your PS3
If you want a selector, you can make one here.

or buy one here.

As have both audio your PC and your PS3 playing audio at the same time, you can always “make” your own adapter. If you really want to voyage into this. Let me know. I can’t guarantee it will work, but in theory it would.
