Ports Blocked. . . Help with forwarding!

hey guys, i have a certain hopeless net connection. And they have torrents blocked, i guess by blocking the open ports. I used a port scanner and it had only 5 ports open, which are default ones. Welcome to the �Torrent Port Checker.

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).
And i checked out that link that’s given there, but its of no use. Can anyone guide me here? I can give the details you ask for. . .
PS: I dint want ev1 knowing my IP address already

that was a random port utorrent chose for the torrents connection!

What router and or soft firewall are using?
Are using Encryption? Do you get any connections via dht?

i dont know what dht is. Am not using any encryption or firewall. The router is WEBSTAR by Scientific Atlanta. . . am not sure how to determine the model.

Open the ports by forwarding them. You can forward your ports by going to your router configuration (through the default gateway). Also, do you have a DMZ set? You might want to set it up to redirect actions to your IP. Good luck mate^^

thanks but, i already have a static IP address. And it doesnt start with 192.168.0.__ as given in the portforward.com site. So i dont think i can use it.

I tried accessing the router config but typing my Default Gateway in the browser address doesnt take me anywhere, jus shows the invalid page error! How do i setup a dmz?? [i jus read the wikipedia article on it tho cudnt make out too much from that!]

Sorry didn’t see the other post.
If your IP is different then what is stated thats fine as long as you got the similar page with your Lan IPs.
DHT is distributed hash table so you can connect to peers even if not connected to server tracker.
