Can my friend’s DVD-burner burn DL DVDS for his Xbox 360?

My friend just bought an Xbox 360 and has flashed it. His problem is that he doesn’t know if his DVD-burner can burn DL (double/dual) DVDS.
How could he check if it can or not? Thanks a lot in advance!
if it says DVD+R DL on the drive, you can most likely burn DVD DLs (meaning some discs will not work with some drives, but try a small pack of Verbatim DL discs and it should work) if it doesnt say DL on the drive than forget it.
