Windows 7 not seeing my sound card

August 3rd, 2016

I just recently upgraded from vista x64 to W7 x64. My creative x-fi xtreme sound card is not showing up in my device manager…I attempted to install the drivers for it anyway but it told me that no card was detected. However, in my device manager I do have the following showing under the sound tab:
-ATI High Definition Audio Device
-High Definition Audio Device
And under the “other devices” tab:
-Multimedia Audio Controller
-Unknown Device
Both of these have exclamation marks next to them (which was what my wireless card had before I got its drivers installed).
Any help getting sound to work would be much appreciated! I really dont want to use onboard sound o.O
thanks

I get that sometimes when I download the wrong driver…Just make sure you select the exact driver for your card…
