Answer #3

Yes just uncheck the silly sync button
Answer #4
cant*
Answer #5
anyone please
Answer #6
Yeah, you can. Use DVD Shrink to rip your video and then use Handbrake to convert them to ipod compatible MP4. Then open iTunes, click Video, and then open the location I have for the file, and drag and drop.
It seems that MP4 video, doesn’t always mean COMPATIBLE video.
My best advice is to go download handbrake and use it to make sure that your video file is compatible with ipod/iphone.

Answer #9
Never used a iphone Google search another app for transferring videos to a iphone. Just a suggestion
Answer #10
So its not letting you untick those sync buttons?
Answer #11
no its letting me its just that when i delete the video from my computer and plug back in the wire to my iphone it deletes the video that i just delete from my computer i dont want it to do that
i want it to keep everything even if i delete it from my computer. so i dont have to have a bunch of iphone videos on my computer
Answer #12
Well it should be the sync option that’s doing that. Have you tried unchecking the sync button? Maybe it is putting itself back on somehow.
But I am pretty sure that your problem is the sync button
Answer #13
if i uncheck it how do i put the movies into my iphone?
Answer #14
the sync feature just means when you plug it in, it automatically replaces all current videos with the selected ones. If you dont sync it, then you add the movies manually. Syncing is good if you keep all your files on the computer in one place, so when there are new additions it adds them. But when it syncs, it clears all you current movies and puts the selected ones back on. Its not the best feature, but you have to be careful with it. I wiped my ipod once because I synced my music, but I deleted it all after I put it on my ipod.
Answer #15
yea thats what is happening
so how would i manually add the movies so even when i deleted them from my computer it will still be on my iphone when i connect it with my computer?
Answer #16
if i uncheck it how do i put the movies into my iphone?
Should be able to put videos on your iphone through itunes, just untick the sync option, it was explained above what it does. I’m pretty sure its a drag and drop kind of thing.
Just have a fiddle with the options in itunes there should be a iphone tab in the preferences.
Also when you plug your iphone in does it come up as a removable drive in “My Computer” ?
EDIT: Theres a tab called syncing in itunes… go there, and click disable automatic syncing for all iphones and ipods that should help.
Answer #17
when you plug your phone in, like an ipod, i would assume it would come up on the side panel with iPhone and an expandable menu. I would assume that is where you would add music, videos, podcasts and all that. Like an iPod.

Exactly what i was going to say next, thanks .
Also to add to that I would assume like an ipod it would tell you the version of your iphone and the capcity on it… and it that little info would also have a sync button that would say sync automatically when connected or something along those lines, like i said before just ahve a look but I think your problem should be sorted by now. Specially if you did what i said before.

Answer #19
if i uncheck the sync button then how else would i add the movies to my iphone? i try looking for the automatic syncing but didnt seem to find it. i wouldnt think that would work though because after all i have to sync it anyways.
alright let me start all over for get what i posted.
When i connect my iphone to my computer, i got to video tab in iphone. i check the sync movies i add in the movies i have, into my iphone. (for example: i put in the movie 300, i check my iphone and its playing in my iphone. but when i deleted the movie 300 from my computer and put in the movie the kingdom; it deletes the movie 300 from my iphone. how do i stop that
I HAVE CHANGE IT TO 1 MONTH RS ACCOUNT BECAUSE THIS IS HARD!
Answer #20
What iTunes is doing is syncing. I am convinced this is your problem.
The syncing feature makes sure that whatever is on your computer is on your ipod exactly, so if you remove a movie, then it removes it from your ipod.
Go to view > preferences, then the iphone tab

Answer #21
i dont have that option
Answer #22
check the edit tab ( i think that was my mistake.)
Answer #23
all i do is disable the automatic syncing?
k let me try it see if i deleted something from my computer will it delete it for the iphone
Answer #24
That should be it. If it isn’t it, then there is another place you disable syncing.
Answer #25
yea didnt work when i deleted a song from my computer and tryed to put another song on it. it deleted the old song and put the new one on.
so its still not working.
Answer #26
when your iphone is plugged in, click on it so it shows that screen you have in your screenshot above, click on the video tab or whatever you don’t want synced and there should be a box related to syncing (i don’t have an iphone so i don’t know what it says). Tick or Untick it, depending on what it says. This sounds confusing.
If it says Something like “Disable Automatic Syncing” – tick it
if it says “Enable Automatic Syncing” – untick it.
Answer #27
i did that. that was my first screen shot. if i delete a movie from my computer then it deletes it from my iphone. unlike a flashdrive. is there anyway to make my iphone become like a drive so i can just copy and paste stuff without having it run through itunes. cuz i hate itunes so much lol.
Answer #28
that’s wierd. You have unchecked all these options, yet it still sync’s. Try re-installing iTunes, and unchecking all those sync options again.
Otherwise I think it’s a problem with your iPhone. I don’t think you can use any other program to put files onto it.
Answer #29
wait a second your not suppose to sync?
then how would i put movies on my iphone?
Answer #30
Syncing basically makes all files on your iphone the same as your computer, so when you delete one on your computer, it deletes it on your ipod. Turn off all syncing options. Then, add a movie to your itunes library, then drag it down onto the name of your iphone (on the left hand panel), it should then be on your ipod
Answer #31

it wont let me
i turned off all the automatic sycning stuff
Answer #36
expand ur iPhone menu, click the arrow on its left.
Then try dragging onto the movies tab or music tab, whatever you are transferring.
Answer #37
doesnt work either
Answer #38
This is wierd. Take it into your local apple store
Answer #39
Untick all sync options, create a playlist in itunes for you movies and when you plug it in, drag the playlist to the iPhone. Once you’ve done this (as a test) cut and paste the video file to a different place and delete the playlist. Replug in the iPhone and see if it deletes it from the phone because the movie file has gone from iTunes.
Answer #40
yea it deletes it from the phone. i dont have time to bring it into a store.
can anyone help me i got 1 month rs to who ever can solve this for me.
