Answer #1
You add subtitles before you convert it….. When you drag the video file then click + expand it and add a subtitle file which should be in srt format.

You need to convert it again…
And you need to add subtitles to every movie you want.
Normally when you add a movie file convertxtodvd picks up the subtitle to.(only when you named it the same as movie.avi and movie.srt)
Answer #5
Is there any way to get the subs on the video without having to make a new disc? It took me a long time to convert the godfather (all 3 movies) and I didn’t make any backups of them, which means I’ll have to convert them again, unless there’s a way to put subs on.
Answer #6
yes u have to convert and at that point u should have srt file in that folder with the same exact name as that of movie
Answer #7
Convert it again and that will do.
Answer #8
Converting the whole video again? -> Epic Fail
Why converting the video stream again, while you just want to add some additional data stream to the DVD structure…
Demultiplex the DVD with PGCDemux (by VOB-ID)
Subtitle streams have to be as .sup file (bitmap format) since simple text based .srt files won’t work in a .vob container.
If you already have sup’s you can multiplex your files into a new DVD with IFOedit. (you need your .m2v .ac3/.dts .sup etc.)
Otherwise you’ll need to convert your textbased subtitles into bitmap subtitles with e.g Txt2Sup.
