[SOLVED]What are nfo files
January 31st, 2020
.nfo (also written .NFO or NFO, a contraction of “info”, or “information”) is a commonly used three-letter filename extension of ASCII text files that accompany other files and contain information about them. Such NFO files can be viewed with text editors or dedicated NFO viewers.[1] They commonly also contain elaborate ASCII art.
ASCII art? whats that. thanks man for the quick response btw
No prob, Its Pictures that are drawn in nothing but letters like &, *, $, etc… But mainly they tell about the Program you downloaded and the team that cracked it.
okay well one more question how can i view nfo files i clicked on one i got in a folder for the ConvertXtoDVD program and it opened up as the info about my computer

nfo files are defaultly associated with a Windows program… to read them you can right click with you mouse and select Open With then choose Wordpad or notepad since they are simply text documents.
Alternatively you can download a program like Damn Nfo Viewer or Getdiz to set the association for you and view.
Here this is I get when i click on it
this is what happens when i press ok
Okay Idk why you are trying to open it with system info or what ever but try opening it with textpad or something.
