Bought a new mobile phone, how many hours do I charge it ?

Hey guys, the question may seem stupid but some of my friends say that I need to charge the phone for 12h and others say that it’s enough to charge it till the battery gets full.
The phone i bought, Nokia n95 8gb.
plz only answer if u are 100% that u’re answer is correct!

Leave it to charge for 12 Hours. That’s what I always do with a new phone. From experience, it elongates the battery’s life. However, it would make little difference and the result isn’t that critical so requesting a very accurate answer is superfluous. Good luck mate ^_^

No one can make certain how long need to be charge at the first time, I suggest no more than 24 hrs

Thank you guys! I wanted to take the phone with me to a party and that’s why I needed a quick and accurate answer. After all i decided the leave to phone on charge and go to the party with my old phone

NO it doesn’t shorten the battery life at all. Lithium Ion batteries are different from rechargable AA or AAA’s they don’t hold any memory. Charge it as long as you like.

Why is it such a big deal? Just charge it until you think it’s enough. I don’t see how anything flabbergastingly horrible could happen if you charge it too much or to little.
