You might find this useful:

Their forum is pretty good too:

Basically there are 3 modes of operation,You can either
pick one or use multiple,Whatever you prefer,These
modes include:
1. A container,This will basically be an encrypted file
that when mounted will function just like a regular
hard drive,When unmounted it’d just be a file
with random data.
2. Full Disk Encryption of a non OS partition,Will
encrypt all sectors of the specific partition. 3. Full Disk Encryption of the OS partition,Just like #2 except it’ll add a special boot sector so you could
input the password before the OS loads.
Answer #9
Can I Use true crypt on an Partition that already contains an OS?
Or Another Folder?
(Without affecting the OS Boot)
Can I use #1 for this?
Answer #10
Of course. I suggest you refer to the documentation^
it’s all explained in there.
