How do I make the disc size I burn on Nero larger?

My DVD’s have 4.7 GB of free space but when I burn on Nero, it only says I have 4.4GB of free space. How do I fix this?

^^^ Great reply. I was trying to wrap my head around his question and never thought of the old HDD “Where have my bytes gone?” question that pops up from time to time.
