9400 GT 1gb – What can I expect? It’ll be free for me though

August 3rd, 2016

Hey guys, I just want to know if this video card is good to play games like Crysis and GTA 4 (doesn’t matter quality) smoothly.
I have ULTRA SUX Geforce 6100 onboard that can’t run any games.
And, I’m only changing my video card because this one (9400 GT 1gb) will be free.
It’s just a thing I won that I can choose one product among a lot (not only pc products) and this is the only Video card there.
Just let me know what expect of it, seeing my currently card (6100) (how much better)
ps: EVerybody says it sucks… but I see videos on Youtube people playing Gta 4 smoothly with this. It can’t be bad…
Thanks

pretty good I suppose
you will be able to play most new games on medium/high settings
even crysis
but it will also depend on the rest of your hardware offcourse
Answer #2
The rest of Hardware is fine..Maybe I just need more ram (Only 2gb)

Depends on your OS. What are you on? If vista, you need more RAM. if XP/7 , you’re fine.
Answer #4
I’m on XP.
I hate windows vista lol

don’t know about medium/high settings but the 9400 will be MUCH better than your 6100
after you install it go to the “manage 3D settings” in nVidia CTRL panel and disable/lower all settings
Answer #6
Does anybody else has an opnion about this video card?
Answer #7
what is your CPU speed?
Answer #8
The video card isn’t for hardcore gaming. You won’t be able to take advantage of that 1GB GDDR3 ram for that purpose.. You can get a good.. medium settings for most new games. High for games older than.. say 2008-2007..
Also, what CPU are you using?..

I had an 8400 GS and it was terrible. Had to play COD4 on the lowest settings and resolution. Of course it will be better then your 6100 and you’re getting it for free. Review:

Haha im still using an nvidia fx5200 and im able to play bf2 on medium settings so i dont see what your complaining about
Answer #12
BF2, is a pretty old game. The 9400 would *should* not have any problems with it.. We’re talking about more recent games.

Answer #13
Its a plain entry level solution. Not much to say about it.
Answer #14
It is fine, dont worry about it
Answer #15
Ok guys thanks!
I see I can run the games and run then at a playable speed (I don’t care for quality…)
Btw, I have a Core 2 duo E7200

Actually, its not fine.. It’s a lower end card, and won’t be good for any of the latest games… Unless he plays older games, the card won’t be good.
