well i have another question in my campus we have internet all over the campus and when i want to transfer large files to my friends i just connect my llaptop with a lan cable to the internet and the transfer speed through msn is very high how is that done
Answer #3
Universities usually have a much faster internet connection the average home
user,Especially on the upload,Set that aside MSN also supports file transfers
over the local network so if this friend was in campus this affects
it aswell.
Answer #4
The transfer speed is fast as it is transferred over the local network.
Answer #5
I connect my laptop to a friend of mine all the time and we transfer images/movies and so on.
I get speeds like 30MB per second and maybe more sometimes.
Just use a normal ethernet cable, check your firewall permissions, and go to your network to check out computers on the same network. It should be there. if its not there then you can also do it manually.
Go to any folder on your computer and type in the address bar:
\\User-PC\
and hit Enter.
Where User-PC is the user of your friend’s computer.
Good luck
