Can anyone tell me if there is a way to reduce the number of parts flashget splits a file into ?

When you paste the link(s) to flashget there is an option
Split File XX parts simultaneous
Simply select XX to whatever no of parts you want.
It is only a max no, usually it doesnt split into near the amount you select.

You can set it to be a default by clicking Tools–>Default Download Properties. There reduce the amount of split parts. Also, it does in fact split the download into the amount of parts you specify so be sure to select the value you want, it’s not just some maximum value and it creates a big amount of connections to a server so be mindful
