Pros: Excellent ram. as overclockable as D9 ICs, only $xxx cheaper. these babies can hit 1000mhz @ 4-4-3-5 with ~2.35v. if the voltage is too high for your blood, loosen the timings to 4-4-4-12 and it can easily do 1000mhz w/ ~2.25v. if you dont plan on overclocking, you can undervolt these things to 1.8v @ 800mhz w/ 4-4-3-5. 8 hours memtest stable while undervolted.
Cons: they get on the warm side after a while, even with such a low voltage. i guess its because of the thin brushed aluminum heatspreader. the corsair xms2 heatspreaders are thick and run cooler at a higher voltage. no biggie though.
Other Thoughts: running along side a e6600 on a P5W DH DLX, zalman 9700led, wd 250gb sata2, 512mb x1900cf, thermaltake tsunami dream case w/ side window.
I think they are a great buy, especially for 70 bucks
thx
I’ll tell you this, you might as well just get one stick of 2gb instead. Upgrade will be easier. I got 2 2gb sticks working great for me on Vista.
any other toughts
That’s good ram, but you could get 2x 1GB ram cheaper that is just as good if you look around.
is 1000Mhz goood ?
is 1000Mhz goood ?
Well it’s faster then 800, so yeh lol
those are not 1000MHz. they are 800. look through the ram under 1066 for something better for only a little bit more.
thats good for 70$
You can easily overclock those 2 1000 easily

lol 800MHz is SUPER fast, you can go for the 1000MHz though if you got the money, but 800MHz is more than enough..

For crysis ?
Ram is good.
is 1000 MHz good enough to play crysis on high ?

Easily. If you have a badass graphics card too that is
8600 Gts with q6600 good enough
