Laptop freeze after ram upgrade

I recently upgraded the ram on my old dell latitude d600, ever since it would freeze after 10 mins of use. I’m positive its the correct ram for my laptop what could be causing this problem? the maximum ram it can hold is 2gb and I only installed a 1gb ram stick

it work ok with just the new ram ?
use CPU-Z to get the specs of both old and new ram and post screen shots
where’d you get the ram ? brand new ?
is your BIOS version A16 ?

it work ok with the new ram for a good 10 – 15 mins then it just froze out of nowhere. Brand new ram and yes my BIOS is A16 i will post the CPU-Z results in a min

reinstall windows can fix this problem mate
