CD/DVD Writing Help

I use NERO 7 to write data on CD/DVD. I have one question about writing speed.
Nero Automatically select writing speed i.e. sometimes 24x, 52x, etc.
So, I want to ask you which writing speed is better?

the slowest is the better it may take more time but its better

24x is good but dont use the fastest one 52x

the 24 x its better dont go for 52x the 24 has more time to write but it does a perfect job
this can be compared to you’re writing if you write fast you’ll do mistakes but if you write slowly you’ll make no mistakes
