Is IR Faster Than Bluetooth for Nokia Phones?
January 28th, 2020
yeah, bluetooth is WAY faster. IR is susceptible to interference, (eg, if you are in a brightly lit room) so it has to send data at a slower rate to ensure it get recieved.
also, its a pain in the ass having to hold the phone upto the receiver to send data (and usb IR adapters are getting hard to come by)
Gosh!!! come on. I mean thanks but I need something faster than Bluetooth coz Data Cable is fast enough but it totally screws phone software.
IR is ~love~ slowwww…..
i find that bluetooth is more than fast enough. make sure that both your phone and computer are compatible with the 2.x version of the protocol (2.x is way faster than 1.x)
if you are using a memory card on your phone, why not use a memory card reader to transfer stuff?
Ur right but I dont like to remove the memory card from the phone.
so you don’t like removing a memory card or using a cable? well than, use bluetooth.
Well both methods normally tend to screw up the phone software, It happened a couple of times so I can’t afford it to happen that anymore.
Bluetooth is good but teh data transfer speed really sucks.
look at it this way: Your choices are a memory card reader, IR, the data cable and Bluetooth. You say that the data cable & the memory card reader mess-up your phone software. That leaves you with a choice between IR and Bluetooth and considering the transfer speeds of the two, go for Bluetooth!
true but is thre any other tweak or some tool that can increase this speed?

ur phone must have a “Storage Mode”.. activate storage mode.. connect via USB and ur phone’s mem card will be shown
ofcourse not…
