Wii USB Files over 4gb

August 20th, 2021

I have some Wii games I want to add to a usb but because its fat32 it won’t. I tried the other nfts or such format and the wii doesn’t support it.
What am I able to do please to enable the ISO file to be added to the usb?!
Thanks

Use wii backup manager to format your drive to wbfs and the same program to move the iso to the drive, check the copy to sd folder that modmii made it may have downloaded wii backup manager for you,one more thing make absolutely sure that you are selecting the correct drive when you format to wbfs as you could wipe an incorrectly selected drive.

Most people recommend not to format a drive to WBFS anymore since it’s susceptible to irreparable corruption. Unless you’re using a very very old mod you can load games from NTFS drives just fine. Format to NTFS and then use Wii Backup Manager to copy the games to it (it converts them to self-contained *.wbfs files), boot using USB Loader GX or CFG Loader.

Fat32 is fine, use Wii backup manager to transfer the files, it will split the files for you so they will work. (I use it myself)
