[SOLVED] Bought Samsung Galaxy S3

August 7th, 2016

I am planning to buy Mobile Phone but need your reviews / help to determine which is the best.
1) HTC One X 32GB
2) Samsung Galaxy S3
Though I checked details / user reviews on many websites but asking here just to get more information from users who have any of these mobiles.
There is also a poll for 5 Days.
Edit:
Finally Bought Samsung Galaxy S3 (Titanium Grey) Quad Core 16GB.
Thanks to all you guys for your kind help and guidance.

I own Galaxy S3 since when it arrived in my country. And from that day till now never had any issues with it.
Other then the usual calls, I used it mostly for viewing movies,tv shows and 3D gaming. Battery life is good. But when I bought the phone I got a notification for update. I never did it, because I read and heard from people that they are experiencing some lagging and camera issues. So I never did. But one week before I thought just to give it a try. And what you know it was all fine. No issues at all.
– 1st I got improve stability update.
Result: More smoothness + Battery life increased (Now my phone last for a day and 6 hours). 2nd I got software update.
Result: Changed my UI like Galaxy Note 2.
3rd Again got improve stability update.
Result: I didn’t experience any changes. All same.
4th Finally got firmware update.
Result: Bye Bye Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) —-> Hello Jelly Bean (JB)
Now its even better then before. I’m very happy that I made a wise choice by buying this.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will be glad to help you.

Hey Cyber, I own both the HTC One X and the SGS3 – I bought the HTC One X when it came out and inherited the SGS3 couple months later.
Until a few days ago, I would have said the SGS3 runs smoother, but a recent update to JB was released for the HTC and it now runs great. Both phones are amazing, and are top of the range – no doubt. Both totally wipe the floor with any flavour of iPhone. What i’ve noticed is that the HTC has a better user interface and much faster camera. The SGS3 has a great screen and feels “better made”. Unlike the HTC, it is not an all-in-one body so you can change the battery and insert an SD card. The HTC has no slot for an SD, but if you get one with enough RAM that’ll even it out. Both make calls and send texts nice and easy with no issues. Games and apps run well on both, equally I think, as both have enough power under the hood.
Battery life for both is roughly the same, regular or heavy use requires a charge each night. Casual usage, a charge maybe once every 1.5/2 days.
You might want to consider the HTC One X+ (same as One X but more power!) or wait until April/May and get the Samsung Galaxy S4…??
As the owner of both the current One X and SGS3, and who actually switches my SIM card between the two depending on what I feel like using… I can honestly say that there is so very little between them for me. On the whole, people who have used HTC’s before stick to HTC for the better user interface. But Samsung is growing massively and taking on Apple. They have a rumoured SGS4 coming out in May. HTC is struggling in the market, their future less certain.
Good luck and post back with what you chose!

Are you just sticking with a 3G connection ? I have a S3 LTE with 4G (on EE) here in the UK.
I have an S2 also, but the battery life on the S3 is amazing even with my high usage.
The end decision is yours of course, but I would suggest Googling for reviews of both, that way you will get much more feedback than this tiny Helpdesk sub-forum.
Answer #8
Thanks to all of you for feedback. I checked reviews on Google and found that both phones are mostly same with only some differences. However, after review I prefer to go with S3.
Answer #9
Hi, glad to see you went with S3.
Work in IT, and i fix phones as well as pc’s. Have had a HTC one X come back a few times, just some small problems with it (screen not rotating, touchscreen not responding, crashing apps etc.) don’t know if it’s just this particular phone, but it seems more trouble than it’s worth.
Wouldn’t buy one myself. That being said i don’t have much experience with the samsung galaxy s3 =/
Answer #10
Most of ppl voted for SGS 3 are no different from Apple’s boys. Never tried Htc one x at all.
Dude ! Friend of mind his Sgs 3 exploded on him while charging, beside the battery problems he was getting.
I have Htc one x. The phone is awsome, but it will kill with low sound of ringtone
Answer #11
I have had an S3 since launch and I can say I still love it.
My mate has had the One X for a couple of months. – He likes it, but finds the battery life isn’t that great.
The S3 battery can be removed – so carry a spare batt if you need.
I haven’t had the need for a spare battery, the right rom/kernel combination can give you batter/performance/stability you need.
The lack of external storage on the One X was a killer for me.
Spec wise I think they are very similar. Performance is great and lag-free on both devices.
As for the interface, I prefer Sense over TouchWiz.
But I keep changing my rom and launcher anyway so that doesn’t really matter.
If you don’t need 32GB, I would recommend the Nexus 4 (If it ever comes back in stock lol), You could always upload your music to Google Music to save on physical storage and then use USB OTG if you ever want to watch a movie or something.
The spec is great (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and 2GB ram) and the back is sooo sexy.
EDIT: Just read the other posts and realised you’ve decided on the S3. That’ll teach me to post without reading the thread.
