I torrented iLife and installed it but I can’t find the apps

This is a newer HDD, in the older one that got dead I also had torrented iLife but forgot how I made it work. I have a bunch of photos and videos saved in my external drive that only opens with iPhoto of iLife ’11 but can’t access it now…
By the way when you have your photos stored in external, how are you supposed to enjoy the recordings you have made? It seems impossible because only when I’m watching movies do I have it connected to my laptop. It’s so cumbersome.

I dont understand what your asking…we have several mac specialist on here including myself…but I dont understand what your asking..how are you suppose to enjoy the recording that are made? please clarify… and you torrented ilife 11′ but cant get it too work?

Sorry that was a different question from the original one. Let me write more clearly. Here’s the problem: My iPhone is full of pictures and videos so I need to transfer that to iPhoto library in my external drive. But iPhoto library isn’t opening because the library was made with the new version of iPhoto (iLife 11), and I have the old version on my MacBook Pro. The reason I have the old version right now is because I had Snow Leopard newly installed when my old internal hard drive failed, and I torrented the newer version but don’t know how to get it to work.

And also I suppose to be able to enjoy your home videos you have to have a desktop? But that means you can only enjoy them at your home, not when you are travelling or outside of the house…. unless you put your videos on YouTube in private mode. But is there any automation you can do for uploading your videos en masse on YouTube in private mode?

to start with your first problem about ilife not working…heres a working copy everything seems ok where did you dl from?

EDIT…if this is the one you downloaded…you need to change your macs time/year to 2007-2011 then install….then change back to todays date when done…i see that was a error for some reason

I’ll try with what I have (the piratebay one) the date thing and if that doesn’t work I’ll download the the link you gave.
Meanwhile, if I just created another library with the old one, could I merge it with the iPhoto ’11 in the future if I choose to?
By the way, why is it on this site you can’t just click on a link, instead you have to copy and paste it?

I installed the iLife 11 from piratebay and this time the older version of iPhoto is gone! But I can’t find the newer version of iPhoto that should have replaced it. I had the date set to a couple years back while installing.
