Installing Programs with Windows 8

August 1st, 2016

Hi all,
(And if this is in the wrong section Mods please show me the way.)
I have a quick question. Just got Windows 8 and there are a couple of programs I’d like to install that I’ve downloaded. But before I did so I wanted to know if there were any issues I should look out for with Win8 and software that’s been shared, cracked etc. For now I’m mostly interested in ConvertXtoDvd v5 and Video download capture. Unless there is a better way to download videos from Veevr and Dubbed-scene (anime site). Thanks, Doll

No known issues with commercial software in my knowledge.
Internet Download Manager will give you the option to download any flash video.

Some software has issues just like any software and a OS upgrade. But the compatibilty mode usually works with most software that refuses to play normally, also run as admin or sometimes W8 protection jumpsa in and stops the app.
At the moment i am running W8 64bit and virtually every piece of software including 32bit versions are orking ok so…

Thank you both so much! Well I’m off to break the new computer in, because there’s nothing sadder than an empty HD.
