How to clean a usb plug?

I have a black usb plug, the best way to get rid of scratches?

What exactly do you mean by ‘plug’?
A USB port/socket? A USB cable? A USB flash drive? A USB AC adapter?

if its a socket, use compressed air. not sure what you mean by cleaning scratches though..
