JDownloader forgets linkgrabber links

July 26th, 2016

Hello,
so,
After using JD2 for quite a while i switched back to JD 0.9.581 Portable version, because of the slow start up of JD2 sometimes.
I copied all the links from the JD2 linkgrabber to JD Portable, but ofcourse.. i didn’t realize it would forget all the stored links in the linkgrabber after restart (as JD2 does)! hhhhhhh so i lost them all it was a lot.. and no way i can search all these back.
Can i make JD 0.9.581 remember the links in linkgrabber or do they have to be in the download tab to not be forgotten on startup?
Or is there a way to find them back perhaps? i doubt it but maybe i just ask to be sure..
Thanks for the help.

Never used the portable but I don’t think it stores anything (hence portable), the easiest thing to do is copy links to a text doc and then copy them to JD after restart, as for your previous links they are long gone.

myea i was afraid so , thats a huge buggr in the program tho.. almost unbelievable that such a simple and obvious option isn’t there… but thanks for your response
edit
prolly another small workaround is to have some clipboard history tool installed?
and btw isnt that stored somewhere? the links were copied just last night and i didn’t restart the computer..?
Answer #3
Are they in your clipboard still by any chance.
Answer #4
Clipboard has the memory of a goldfish, it only remembers the last thing copied (its not stored anywhere as far as I know).
Answer #5
nop not there anymore, just one link was still there from last night..
perhaps any suggestions on a clipboard history tool to prevent future issues? i try googling around a bit but havn’t found something decent yet
cheers

Yes, but had hoped nothing else had been copied since. Too bad. I know what you’re going through as i have clipboard on phone that saves more than one thing, and at random times just deletes everything and like your links, it’s things i can’t get back.

Answer #7
mine remembers it on jd2 whenever i restart it unless the links have died in the meantime then it would more than likely just remove the dead 1s

thanks , looks good
most other apps look way too fancy for a simple act as copying stuff to a txt file you know..
here is a registered version for Clipdiary v3.42

yes indeed JD2 does remember it, which is great, but i found it somewhat working slow at times
