Guys i recently rooted my Android Samsung Galaxy S Plus
And i download SetCpu and No-Frills Cpu..And i have changed the Max & Min clock freq.Which i think is Overclocking Adnroid..Is it safe guys??My processor is 1.4gHz
And i set it to 1.402gHz

Answer #1
isnt that like a 2MHz overclock ?
what is your Q anyway ?
Answer #2
I want to know whether is it safe to Overclock my phone or not..I don’t usually play games..I just want it for peformance. Is it safe to change the settings of the CPU?
Answer #3
Your phone is already factory overclocked to 1.4GHz from 1GHz. I think you can do around 1.7GHz but it depends on the phone.
Answer #4
overclock in small increments, run some app thats more challenging (like a 3D game), check the phones temp (software) and see if it runs stable.
if temp okay and app runs stable it will work just fine.
what to keep in mind: you void warranty, but then rooting already voided it, so have fun.

what to keep in mind: you void warranty, but then rooting already voided it, so have fun.~lol~. Rooting doesn’t void your warranty.
Answer #6
Yea,my phone is quite stable & the apps run smooth..But now and then i change it back to a very low cpu speed..Most of the time it’s on 1.4..
Many people say rooting void’s warranty..But i’ve sucessfully rooted my phone and no need to worry..Does unrooting it back give back the warranty??
Answer #7
As long as the people don’t know you rooted it, you’re fine.
And most people use the overclocking option to UNDERCLOCK while your screen is off and when your phone is inactive to save battery.
But going from 1.4 to 1.5ish 1.6 should be okay.
My phone stock is 800 mhz, and I can go to 1.2 no problem.

I think noooo !
Answer #9
I’d say don’t OC it unless you really feel you need the performance. Running it at a higher frequency will probably eat your battery life and **might** just cause the phone to heat up a bit more
Answer #10
Owh,that means when i’m not using my phone i should lower down the settings??
Cause now i leave it 1.2 everytime..I don’t know about my battery life till tommorow.
Answer #11
Im using No-Frills CPU and this is my settings

Answer #13
Overclocking can spoil your processor. Overclocking also means you will have pathetic battery life. 1.2GHZ is more than enough.
Answer #14
Ok,i understand..But my default setting i think it’s not to the maximum 1.2GHz..When i rooted it and overclocked it i only realized it was around 200..What should i do now?
