PS3 – Need some information regarding jailbreak 4.00

I just learned that jailbreak 4.00 has been released for PS3. I am myself using CFW 3.55 at the moment. Is it safe to dwitch to 4.00? Can I do that from a CFW 3.55? Can you play PS3 backups on 4.00?

You can upgrade to 4.00 jailbreak, though you’ll lose your back-up functionality. Even worse, 99% of the current homebrew won’t work. So my advice is to wait, untill the NPDRM Algorithm is released/found again. (This is needed to sign packages)
