usb drive now write protected can’t delete anything

I have this 64gig usb drive that all of a sudden became write protected and I can’t seem to change it back.
I tried to reformat but write protected. I can only copy file off of it but I cannot delete them. In fact there is not where where it says delete.
any help would be appreciated

Unless it has a write protection switch (Which is quite rare) I’d say it’s gone bad!
This happened to me before, And there was nothing I could do about it, Just had to buy a new one.
You could try using the HP formatting tool:

But don’t get your hopes up!

thank you for your help. looks like I will try your suggestions and probably buy a new one too cause I do not trust it any more
